Ask & Receive
During my research when developing The Key, I discovered that the concept and benefits of ASKING was not a new idea. Indeed, this concept is featured in many philosophical and spiritual texts throughout time. When furthering my understanding of creation, I discovered within the Abraham Hicks book ‘ASK and It Is Given’ this statement:
“Without the asking that precedes it there could be no receiving.”
What a simple idea and of course it all makes sense. Most people focus on the want and forget to ASK! I also discovered many spiritual texts too.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds and to him who knocks it will be opened”.
‘I asked myself – ‘Could it be that simple?’
However it wasn’t until I read a paragraph in a book called “Prayer Availeth Much” by TM Anderson written in the early 1900’s – “Let your requests be made known” that I realised why a little technique that I had been using for years really worked.
The book continued, ‘We must not presume that the things required to sustain life will be granted without making our requests known. Our requirements on earth and resources in heaven are meant for each other. If we ask, we shall receive. When we fail to ask, we fail to receive. The word declares: “Ye have not, because ye ask not.”
Wow! This was the answer to why most people don’t have what they want. They don’t ASK, or they don’t know how to ASK!
There was more. The book then goes onto say……..
“Think of the promise to be a certified cheque made payable to us the moment we present it for payment. No matter what graces the promise contains, we cannot receive them until we make our requests known”
This gave me an idea which I have been using for years as have many people who have come on The Key. I use it for everything, and it is my simple way to remind me to ASK. Therefore, when I don’t receive, I now know it’s because I have been either focusing on what I don’t want, or I haven’t asked! The process is simple.
At The Key we call it “Writing cheques to the universe with your Universal Catalogue”.
