Find something to celebrate every day of your life.
We tend to think of celebration as something we do for birthdays or births or weddings. At The Key however we encourage you to think of celebration as something we can do every day of our lives.
In the past I would go from project to project, even achievement to achievement and never pause for a moment to take account of what I had actually achieved. Often other people would point things out, recognising their value, long before me. Celebration never seemed significant and the lack of it probably became an unconscious habit.
So why would this matter?
It’s simple. When we pay attention, there is truly so much to celebrate. It’s not wrong to be proud of yourself and recognise your achievements – no matter how insignificant you might think they are. You do great things. When you take time and take a moment to celebrate something positive about yourself, you amplify your energy and that feels good. Not celebrating really is a missed opportunity.
When I begin my day with the energy of celebration, it’s true – life gives me more and more to celebrate. Hurrah!
