Mindful Speech

Considering the ‘powerful force’ of the words we utter, we should now choose to speak in a way that conveys respect and gentleness.

Mindful speech is one of the keystones of aware people.

Before speaking, contemplate what you are about to say. Consider its impact on you and the listener and/or receiver.

Be kind with speech. Speak words that are beacons of inspiration, enthusiasm and encouragement to all. This includes the words you speak to yourself.

Kind and gentle words are creative and positively powerful.

We often give voice to any passing feeling and thought. We dump the contents of our minds without thinking or regard to the creative significance of what we are saying.  When we talk about trivial things, fill creative space with pointless matters, or gossip about others, our focus and attention is wasted on the meaningless.

When we speak we should speak consciously with mindfulness and honour and as a result create a world of peace and harmony for ourselves and others.
